What is Realtime Voice Chat?
Realtime Voice Chat is TubeOnAI's voice-powered conversation feature that lets you ask follow-up questions about summarized content using only your voice.
Think of it as: Having a knowledgeable friend who just watched/read the same content and can answer your questions instantly — all through natural conversation.

Where to Find Voice Chat
Location: At the bottom of any summary page
How to access:
- Open any YouTube video, podcast, or article summary in TubeOnAI
- Scroll to the bottom of the summary
- Look for the Realtime Voice Chat button (shown with a microphone icon)
- Click to launch the voice interface
Available on: All summary types (videos, podcasts, articles, uploaded files)
How It Works
Step 1: Open a Summary
Log in to your TubeOnAI account and open any content summary — whether it's a YouTube video you just summarized or a podcast from your library.
Step 2: Launch Voice Chat
Scroll to the bottom of the summary page and click the Realtime Voice Chat button.
The voice interface opens in a modal with:
- Large microphone button (center)
- "Connected" status indicator (bottom)
- Volume controls
- Mute/unmute toggle
Step 3: Start Speaking
- Click the microphone button to activate voice input
- Speak your question naturally — no special commands needed
- TubeOnAI listens and processes your question in real time
Example questions:
- "What were the main takeaways?"
- "Can you explain the third point in more detail?"
- "What did they say about marketing strategies?"
- "Summarize the conclusion in one sentence"
Step 4: Get Voice Responses
TubeOnAI responds instantly with voice, giving you spoken answers based on the summarized content.

Step 5: Control Your Session
During your voice chat session, you can:
Adjust volume — Use the volume slider to increase/decrease response volume

"Voice Chat won't connect"
Root cause: Network connectivity issues or browser permissions.
Solution:
- Check your internet connection
- Allow microphone access in browser settings (Chrome/Safari/Firefox)
- Refresh the page and try again
- Try a different browser if the issue persists
"TubeOnAI can't hear me"
Root cause: Microphone not enabled or blocked by browser.
Solution:
- Click the microphone icon in your browser's address bar
- Select "Allow" for microphone permissions
- Check that the correct microphone is selected in system settings
- Test your microphone in another app to confirm it works
"Responses are slow or delayed"
Root cause: Slow internet connection or high server load.
Solution:

Not an issue! Use the Ask Follow-Up Question (Text) feature instead. Both options are available on every summary.
