Connect TubeOnAI to Claude and you can summarize videos, podcasts, articles and documents, and search your TubeOnAI library, without leaving the chat.
What you need

A TubeOnAI account. Summaries use credits from your TubeOnAI balance, exactly as they do in the app.

Claude on the web, desktop or mobile.
Connect TubeOnAI to Claude

In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors.

Find TubeOnAI in the directory and click Connect.

A TubeOnAI page opens. Sign in with your normal TubeOnAI login if asked.

Review what Claude may do and click Allow.

You are back in Claude, and TubeOnAI shows as connected.
In a chat, make sure TubeOnAI is switched on in the tools menu under the message box.

A new summary takes about a minute. Claude starts it, then fetches the result when it is ready. A summary that already exists comes back at once.
Tools
Read only: get_summary, list_summaries, get_transcript, search_library, get_credit_balance, list_collections, get_collection, search_channels, list_channel_subscriptions.
Make changes: summarize_url, create_collection, add_to_collection, subscribe_channel.
Remove or replace data (Claude asks before running these): delete_summary, regenerate_summary, remove_from_collection, delete_collection, unsubscribe_channel.
Supported content
YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitch, Rumble and other video sites; Spotify and Apple Podcasts episodes; web articles; PDF, DOCX and PPTX links; direct audio and video file links.
Credits and limits
Summaries and regenerations spend credits from your TubeOnAI balance. Reading your library does not. Use through Claude counts toward the monthly usage limit for API and MCP access. You can see your balance in TubeOnAI or by asking Claude.
Privacy
Claude only sees what a tool returns for your request: summaries, transcripts, collections and channel names from your own account. TubeOnAI does not receive your Claude conversations. See our Privacy Policy.
Disconnect
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, select TubeOnAI and click Disconnect. Claude loses access right away.
Troubleshooting

"Insufficient credits": your TubeOnAI balance does not cover the request.

Monthly usage limit reached: it resets on the first of the next month (UTC). The TubeOnAI app is not affected.

Asked to sign in again: your connection expired or was updated. Sign in and click Allow.

A summary failed: ask Claude to regenerate it, or check the link opens without a login.
